Travel across open grasslands, seasonal wetlands and acacia-dotted landscapes in search of the wildlife that makes this region one of Tanzania’s remarkable safari destinations. Depending on the season, Ndutu can offer opportunities to observe wildebeest and zebra herds associated with the Great Wildebeest Migration. After breakfast, head out with your private safari guide for another day exploring the Ndutu plains and surrounding wildlife habitats. The day offers further opportunities to observe the seasonal movements of wildebeest and zebra, search for resident wildlife and discover how predators survive within this dynamic ecosystem. During the calving season, usually around the wetter months of the year, large numbers of wildebeest may gather in the southern Serengeti ecosystem to give birth. Lions, cheetahs and hyenas may be seen in the area, although sightings depend on natural conditions and animal movements. Enjoy a picnic lunch during your game drive before continuing your wildlife exploration in the afternoon. Return to your Ndutu accommodation for dinner and overnight.
