Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This page summarizes how deposits, balance payments and cancellations work for a TanzaLux Safaris booking. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our fullBooking Terms & Conditions, which govern every booking.
Deposit — Non-Refundable
A 30% deposit of the total trip price is required to confirm and secure your booking. This deposit isnon-refundable, as it is used to secure accommodation, flights, transportation and other services with our partners as soon as a booking is confirmed.
Balance Payment
The remaining 70% balance may be paid in cash on arrival in Tanzania, or by credit or debit card with a 3.5% card processing fee added. For bookings made shortly before travel, full or additional payment may be required in advance to secure flights, accommodation or other time-sensitive services.
If You Need to Cancel
All cancellations must be made in writing to info@tanzaluxsafaris.com. Beyond the non-refundable 30% deposit, if additional non-refundable costs have already been paid to or committed with suppliers on your behalf (for example flights, park permits or lodge deposits), those costs may also be charged to you.
We strongly recommend taking out comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking, covering cancellation and trip interruption, so that unexpected changes of plan are covered.
Changing Your Trip
We'll always try to accommodate reasonable changes to dates, accommodation, flights, activities or traveller numbers. Where a change results in additional charges from an airline, hotel, lodge, camp or other supplier, that additional cost is passed on to the traveller.
Flights
Flights included in your itinerary are subject to the airline's own terms and conditions, and some require full payment at the time of booking. Once a ticket has been issued, any airline cancellation, amendment, rebooking or name-change fee is the traveller's responsibility, not TanzaLux's.
Circumstances Beyond Our Control
Where a trip is affected by severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, airline disruptions, road or park closures, strikes or other extraordinary events beyond our reasonable control, we will make reasonable efforts to assist — but TanzaLux Safaris cannot be held responsible for the resulting delays, cancellations or additional costs.
