1. Booking & Deposit

A 30% deposit of the total trip price is required to confirm and secure your booking. Your booking is confirmed once the deposit has been received and TanzaLux Safaris has provided written confirmation.

2. Balance Payment

The remaining 70% balance may be paid in cash upon arrival in Tanzania. If the balance is paid by credit or debit card, a 3.5% card processing fee will be added to the amount paid by card. For bookings made shortly before travel, full or additional payment may be required in advance where necessary to secure flights, accommodation or other services.

3. Flights

Where flights are included in your itinerary, flight bookings are subject to the airline's own terms and conditions. Some flights may require full payment at the time of booking. Once a flight ticket has been issued, any airline cancellation, amendment, rebooking or name-change charges are the responsibility of the traveller.

4. Cancellation

All cancellations must be made in writing. The 30% deposit is non-refundable, as it may be used to secure accommodation, flights, transportation and other services. If additional non-refundable costs have already been paid or committed to suppliers, these costs may also be charged to the traveller. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation and trip interruption.

5. Changes Requested by the Traveller

We will do our best to accommodate reasonable changes. Changes to travel dates, accommodation, flights, activities or the number of travellers may result in additional charges from airlines, hotels, lodges, camps or other suppliers. Any such additional costs will be payable by the traveller.

6. Accommodation & Third-Party Services

TanzaLux Safaris works with selected hotels, lodges, camps, vehicle operators, airlines and other local service providers. We do not own or directly operate all accommodation, vehicles or other services included in our itineraries. If a confirmed service becomes unavailable, we will make reasonable efforts to arrange a suitable alternative of the same or similar standard.

7. Itinerary Changes

Safari travel can sometimes be affected by weather, road conditions, wildlife movements, park regulations, accommodation availability, airline changes or other circumstances beyond our control. Where necessary, TanzaLux Safaris may make reasonable changes while maintaining the overall quality and purpose of the trip.

8. Dietary Requirements & Allergies

Travellers must inform us of any dietary requirements, food allergies or special requirements before arrival. We will communicate this information to the relevant hotels, lodges and camps in advance. Travellers with serious allergies should also confirm their requirements directly with the accommodation or restaurant upon arrival.

9. Passport, Visa & Travel Insurance

Travellers are responsible for having valid passports, visas and other required travel documents. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, emergency evacuation, cancellation, trip interruption and baggage.

10. Safety & Responsible Travel

Travellers are expected to follow reasonable instructions from our guides, drivers and activity providers and to respect wildlife, local communities, national park regulations and the environment. Wildlife sightings and specific animal encounters cannot be guaranteed.

11. Unforeseen Circumstances

TanzaLux Safaris cannot be held responsible for delays, cancellations, additional costs or changes caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, airline disruptions, road closures, strikes, park closures or other extraordinary events. We will make reasonable efforts to assist travellers in such circumstances.

12. Complaints

If any issue occurs during your trip, please inform your TanzaLux Safaris representative or guide as soon as possible so that we have an opportunity to resolve the matter during the trip.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.

14. Acceptance

Payment of the deposit or confirmation of the booking constitutes acceptance of these Booking Terms & Conditions by the lead traveller on behalf of all travellers included in the booking.
