Your Ngorongoro Crater day safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your agreed location in Arusha. Travel towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying the changing landscapes of northern Tanzania as you approach one of Africa’s most remarkable natural landmarks. Upon arrival, descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for an exciting game drive across open grasslands, acacia woodland and wetland habitats. Keep watch for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and other wildlife. The crater is also an important habitat for the endangered black rhinoceros, although wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the day, with time to appreciate the crater’s dramatic scenery before continuing your exploration with your experienced driver-guide. In the afternoon, ascend from the crater floor and begin the return journey to Arusha, arriving at your agreed drop-off point later in the day.
