Your day begins with a private pick-up from your agreed location in Arusha or Moshi, followed by a scenic drive to Materuni Village on the green slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. On arrival, meet your local guide and enjoy a guided walk through the village’s lush surroundings towards the beautiful Materuni Waterfalls. Take time to appreciate the cascading water, forest scenery and views of the surrounding countryside, with opportunities for photographs along the way. Continue with a traditional Chagga coffee-making experience, where local hosts introduce you to the preparation of Tanzanian coffee, from roasting and grinding the beans to brewing a fresh cup. Learn about local coffee traditions and enjoy lunch before continuing your journey. In the afternoon, travel to Chemka Hot Springs, also known as Kikuletwa Hot Springs. Enjoy time to swim in the clear turquoise water, relax beneath the trees and take in the peaceful natural surroundings. After your visit, return by private vehicle to your agreed drop-off point in Arusha or Moshi, concluding a memorable day combining waterfalls, local culture, coffee and relaxation.

Tipping your driver-guide and camp staff is customary but discretionary, and not included in the trip price.
We require all travelers to carry their own travel insurance, including emergency medical evacuation cover — not included in the trip price.
Souvenirs, gemstones, artwork and other personal purchases are at the guest’s own expense.

You can obtain this visa either online or on arrival. Typically, it takes 3-5 days to get your visa approved online. However, if your trip starts in less than a week, we recommend opting for the on-arrival visa. To avoid issues with POS machines, bring $50 in cash.
