Materuni Waterfall · Mount Kilimanjaro
Your Materuni day trip begins with a private pick-up from your agreed starting point in Arusha or Moshi, followed by a scenic drive to Materuni Village, nestled on the green slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. This traditional Chagga village offers a wonderful introduction to the landscapes, local culture and rural life of northern Tanzania. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and begin a guided walk through the lush village surroundings towards Materuni Waterfalls. Enjoy the natural scenery along the trail, passing cultivated fields, tropical vegetation and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. At the waterfall, take time to appreciate the impressive cascade, capture photographs and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this remarkable natural attraction. The walk can be adjusted to the group’s pace, although the trail may be uneven and slippery in places. Continue with a traditional Tanzanian coffee-making experience, where local hosts introduce you to the process of preparing coffee using customary Chagga methods, from handling the beans to roasting, grinding and brewing. Enjoy the opportunity to learn about the region’s coffee-growing traditions and connect with the local community. After the experience, return by private vehicle to your agreed drop-off point in Arusha or Moshi. Your day combines nature, culture and local hospitality in one memorable Materuni Waterfalls and coffee tour near Mount Kilimanjaro.
