4-Day Ultimate Private Camping Experience in Serengeti & Ngorongoro

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly greeted and transferred to greenside hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you will have the opportunity to explore Arusha city. Your tour may include visits to notable attractions such as the renowned art gallery, the Cultural Heritage Centre, the local market, and the Maasai market.

After a delicious breakfast, your exciting journey to Serengeti National Park will begin at 7:30 am. You’ll travel along a long and bumpy road, which offers an exciting en-route game drive experience. Along the way, you’ll pass through the beautiful Crater Highlands, eventually arriving at the vast Serengeti plains.

The drive usually takes around six to seven hours, with a brief stop at the Ngorongoro viewpoint (weather permitting). This stop offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Ngorongoro Crater from above, providing an ideal photo opportunity before continuing your journey.

Around midday, you’ll take a break for a hot lunch at the Serengeti Naabi Hill Gate. Afterward, you’ll check in at the park and head out for an afternoon game drive, where you will begin to experience the wildlife and landscapes that Serengeti is famous for. As the sun begins to set, you’ll return to your campsite for a warm, hearty dinner and a peaceful overnight stay under the stars.

Optional Activity:
You’ll also have the opportunity to visit a Maasai village at no additional cost. However, note that the experience has become more commercialized in recent years, and most guests often choose to skip it.

After an early cup of coffee at the campsite, you will leave at approximately 6:00am for a sunrise game drive. This is the best time to see animals as they are most active in the cool morning hours. During the game drive, you'll have the chance to spot various wildlife, including predators on the hunt.

As you continue exploring the Serengeti’s stunning landscape, you'll stop for a breakfast picnic in the bush, surrounded by nature. Afterward, you’ll continue with your game drive before heading back to the campsite for a hot lunch.

In the afternoon, you will pack up and depart from the Serengeti, traveling towards Ngorongoro. The journey will take you through the scenic highlands, and you'll arrive at your next destination, the Ngorongoro Simba Campsite, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Your day will begin early at 6:00am, as you board the safari vehicle and head towards the Ngorongoro Crater, with a packed breakfast to enjoy during the journey. The Ngorongoro Crater is a unique and exceptional wildlife haven, home to a variety of East African species, including the rare black rhino. If you're fortunate, you may have the opportunity to spot one.

The crater spans about 260 square kilometers, with a diameter of approximately 20 kilometers. You will spend around five to six hours exploring the vast landscape and observing the diverse wildlife within the crater.

After your exciting exploration, you will head back to the campsite for a delicious hot lunch. In the afternoon, you will begin your journey back to Arusha. Your expected arrival time will be around 5:00 to 6:00pm, and from there, you can either be dropped off at your hotel in Arusha or at Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward travel.
